Share your experiences with levels of dream control while lucid dreaming (and also while not lucid!) How much have you ever been able to control? Have you ever achieved what you would consider "total control?" Is that even possible? Is it a fool's goal? Also, I am so intrigued by the automatic nature of the dream, which never needs any conscious effort to proceed. In fact, it always seems to have been proceeding since before there's even a conscious "I" to experience it, even a non-lucid self. Admittedly, that could possibly be an illusion, due to the instantaneous and automatic nature of the dream.( Of imagination itself?)
And even after becoming lucid, the dream continues on a kind of track, automatically building and scripting the dream around me. I am typically able to control not much more than my dream body, and select objects around me. Although I have controlled the weather three times now. The first time was calling down rain. The second was putting a strong command to brighten up! - because the streets were all apocalyptic and dark, and suddenly it brightened up into day and the town came back to life and shops opened up for business. The third time, I was in my backyard at night. I didn't feel well, and my body felt extremely heavy, like drugged. I clapped my hands together and yelled "Brighten Up!" and suddenly I felt light, and free. I flew up and over my fence, as a beautiful sunrise rose before me. Also, I am interested in dream control of while not lucid. I surprise myself all the time at how my non-lucid self casts "reparo!" with a wand to repair something that has broken. Or levitate objects towards me like a jedi, not blinking twice and still not considering that I'm dreaming. Same with healing, flying, etc. How you about you guys?
