Note: I have only included the portion of the lucid dream involving the dream goal.
I conjured a piece of white chalk and drew the outline of a doorway into the roof of a car I had found, but unfortunately the doorway opened up directly into the car. I tried to dive through the car-seats but that failed as well. I attempted the dream goal a second time, this time creating a doorway within a wall. However once again my subconscious expectations caused the doorway to open up in a normal manner, simply leading to the other side of the wall. I realised that to get a portal of this type to work I would have to use a surface which wouldn’t give rise to these kinds of expectations. I used the piece of chalk to draw the outline of a door directly onto a road now. I knocked twice and then pulled the door open. Beneath the door lay another layer of road, which I ripped off, revealing a dark space which I promptly dove into.
I swam through this non-visual space filled with tactile sensations for a while, before emerging into a different location. Right before I did so, the thought of digging straight through the earth's core and arriving in China (derived from cartoons I watched as a child) had unintentionally crossed my mind.
I seemed to have emerged out of a manhole on a street in an affluent residence area. A couple walked past me, a man and woman of seemingly Asian descent. They were dressed in fine, formal clothing, and the lady held a dark parasol above her. They seemed to look at me with some amount of suspicion; I guess from their perspective it was justified given how I had showed up in their residence. I looked around me at marvelled at all the luxurious mansions in this gated community. In the lucid dream I seemed to believe that I lived in the US, and intuitively believed that I was in a majority Chinese-American area.
I ran into one of the properties but then quickly became engulfed in other dream priorities.
